About Us
Missions, Vision & Values
At the heart of our success is a deep-seated belief in our vision, mission, values and purpose, and we are committed to sharing them with the world.
Our passion
The urgency to preach Jesus Christ and plant contextual churches among unengaged unreached people groups of the world. Every other CAPRO engagement and passion exist to serve this primary passion. This is the spirit of CAPRO and characterise every CAPRO member and partner.
Our Vision
To see exponential multiplication of indigenous, multi-generational church-planting movements and congregations among previously unengaged unreached people groups that will take ownership and responsibility for wholistic transformation of their own people and near culture Neighbours.
Our Mission
CAPRO teams including her missionaries, mission partners, and network of organised CAPRO Sending teams (CAST) collaborate and partner with the global body of Christ to plant, nurture and establish independent, indigenous, Self-governing, Self-propagating and Self-financing churches, among verified unreached people groups.
Our code of conduct
The CAPRO Guiding Principle (GPC) document is the official CAPRO constitution. The CAPRO GPC provide the governance framework upon which our organisational structure, ministry objectives, philosophy of life, work ethics and moral conduct are built. The CAPRO GPC is founded on the bedrock of truth and fundamental biblical absolutes taught and modelled by our commanding officer – Jesus Christ.
Our Core Values
Certain kingdom values outlined in our Guiding Principles of CAPRO (GPC) distinctively mark CAPRO members and distinguish us as a unique organisation. Among these values are a set of 6 core values that inspire and shape our organisational culture. They guide our relationships, inform our engagements, attitude of heart and disposition.
The GPC emphasise the six core values as critical virtues upon which our lives and service must be propped. We believe that without them, our ministry would in no way resemble that of our Master Jesus, nor the faithful men that preceded us in the race. We refer to these virtues as “The CAPRO pillars”. They are:
Agape Love
Genuine, selfless and self-effacing love is pivotal to who we are and all we do as a mission. We advocate deep love first among ourselves as we serve together in respective teams. We extend the same to those we serve. We commit to reach out with a positive attitude and graceful disposition. This core value is best appreciated in the words of our commanding officer – Jesus, when he said that “by this all men will know that you are my disciple, if you love one another.” Our first labour among the people we are sent to reach is to demonstrate to them that we are Jesus’ disciples through our genuine love for one another.
Team
CAPRO, just like the Body of Christ is structured to function in teams. We understand that the team approach to life and ministry is as eternal as the Godhead. Jesus demonstrated teamwork during His ministry on earth. The early Church demonstrated teamwork during their ministry. Team life and teamwork in CAPRO provides mutual strength and encouragement for respective team members and partners, especially during difficult and challenging seasons of life and ministry. It forms the basis for good conducts and manners worthy of the gospel, by providing opportunities for critical checks and balances required to correctly and successfully cultivate, demonstrate and propagate the gospel.
Purposefulness
In CAPRO, we train to instil a sense of purpose in our workers. We expect each missionary to recognise God’s plan and purpose for his life, and to pursue same with rigour and every grace at his or her disposal.
Another word that we use to describe this attitude is militancy. Our operations are designed on the assumption that our missionaries have learnt to be militant in thought, in disposition and in deeds. We believe that what makes a missionary is bold vision plus bold action. Every CAPRO missionary must have a vision, clear enough to give him a precise direction, and strong enough to push him on, even when the odds are against him. We hold that neither vision nor action is enough without the other. Vision without action makes a visionary, and action without vision creates only confusion.
Sacrifice
In CAPRO, mission is a call to sacrifice. Nobody can be involved without the spirit of sacrifice. The first thing we sacrifice is our life. From that point it would be easy to forgo personal ambitions and comfort etc. We are inspired by the words of C.T. Studd, the founder of Worldwide Evangelisation for Christ (WEC). He said, “If Jesus Christ be God, and He died for me, no sacrifice can be too great to make for Him.” Before joining CAPRO, each candidate is enjoined to seriously count the cost. Some have turned back at this point. We assume that every one that gets to the level of staff membership took the decision with a full understanding of the implications.
Faith
The nature of our calling demands that we are able to trust God in the face of the most trying situations. We cannot afford to be weak in faith. We are resolved to hold on tenaciously to His promises because our lives depend on them. Our resources may be limited, and the odds much against us, we believe that by faith the table shall be turned in our favour.
Holiness
In CAPRO, we are conscious that we are at the end-time, when sin, immorality, unrighteousness, wickedness, violence will rampantly spread, and love for God will wax cold among many people. We hold strongly, that the Christian calling is a call unto holiness. Ungodliness and every form of worldliness are incompatible with Christianity and with our mission.
Evangelism
Our passion is to win souls wherever we are, on our field of calling or away from it. The most valuable gift we can offer those that we come across is the gospel.
