Discipleship & Mission Exposure Programme (DIMEP) / Engaged Discipleship Programme ED

Our approach to discipleship and disciple-making employs a blend of teaching, modelling, coaching and mentoring. Effective discipleship programme therefore requires maximum of interaction. All of these comes together in the “DIMEP”/ “ED” course. 

This program is an intensive training to explore what it means to practically follow Jesus and embrace God’s vision for a lost world. It is presented in an interactive format with the objective to equip participants to live victorious Christian lives, share their faith and understand God’s will for their lives. Our desire is to see men and women shaped into His image and likeness, on mission with Jesus Christ in their secular sphere of engagement.

We run the DIMEP / ED programme for Churches, Christian ministries, Fellowship groups in corporate organisations, interdenominational fellowship groups in tertiary institutions in major cities and towns upon request.

Practical, yet soundly biblical in content, DIMEP / ED is a combination of informal teaching seminars and workshops on basic Christian themes. It is run as a series of three-hour sessions over a period of 12 weeks (total of 48-60 hours) 

The course is delivered through a mix of lectures and interactive sessions that stimulate discovery and growth, incorporating teaching seminars, workshops and practical involvement in evangelism and missions. A short-term visit to a mission field will be arranged as part of the experience.

  • Mutual Submission 
  • Evangelism 
  • Understanding Christian missions 
  • The challenge of unreached peoples 
  • Serving as senders 

– Are drawn primarily from CAPRO but will include other Christian leaders 

– Each subject will have recommended materials which participants are expected to read as part of their commitment to the programme. 

– There will be opportunities for personal evangelism, weekend outreaches and short-term trips to missions fields. 

– Coaching and mentoring is a vital element of the discipleship process. Before embarking on the course, we expect all participants to either have a mentor already, or we could either introduce and facilitate the process of finding one.
