Our Statement of Faith:
The doctrinal basis of Calvary Ministries (CAPRO) anchors upon fundamental truth of the Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
One Eternal God, Three Persons
We believe in one holy sovereign God, the creator of all, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who act together in grace.
The Lordship of Jesus Christ
We follow Jesus because we love him. Jesus tells us that if we love him, we will keep his commandments, this means that Jesus is Lord of our entire lives. This is a Christian call to holiness and holy living.
The Bible is the word of God
The bible was written through divine inspiration and holds final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine and conduct. The bible clearly communicates the will, purposes and plans of God for His people and His world.
Universal Sinfulness
Everyone sins and falls short of God’s Holy standards. Sin is a barrier to a healthy relationship with God. We all need God because we cannot fix this relationship by ourselves.
Jesus removes all barriers
The redemption from the penalty and power of sin is solely available through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross, his burial and bodily resurrection. Jesus Christ removes the barrier of sin, bridging the gap between God and man.
Jesus Justify us by His Grace
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by our own efforts or works. Those who are restored by grace through faith in His sacrificial atonement are held blameless, free from the condemnation, penalty and power of sin.
Everyone makes a choice
Every person makes the choice to follow Jesus Christ or to reject Him. Those who reject Jesus and persist in sin, opt to pay the humanly impossible price themselves. The consequence of rejecting Jesus is eternal separation from Him in hell. Those who accept Jesus and follow him will spend eternity with him in the kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit is making us more like Jesus
The Holy Spirit is at work today in the lives of those who follow Jesus, making us more like Him in this world. In his present-day ministry, the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers Christians to live extra-ordinary godly lives that honour God, expressed through selfless service to humanity.
We are One Universal Church
We are one global church family. We emphasise the fellowship of all believers in the Universal Church, which is the body of Christ. This means that there is one body, one spirit, one hope, one faith, one baptism, one God and father of all.
Jesus is coming back
There comes a time when no-one can work anymore for the salvation of human kind. At that time Jesus Christ will physically return to us, in power and great glory. All those who follow Him will be eternally reunited in the kingdom of God. All those who rejected him will be eternally damned.
The time is now
There is an urgency to tell people about Jesus. People who die without Jesus will go to hell. Therefore, through love and grace, we need an urgency within the church to share the gospel and go into all the world and to the ends of the earth proclaiming him.
